Book Range
I am currently reading Range by David Epstein. It was recommended by a Venture Capitalist friend of mine who is not only an inspirational VC but also a super hardcore sports person - a very wide-ranged person.
While I haven't finished the book yet, I really like the premise of the book (generalists triumph in a specialized world).
As someone who has always struggled with speciliazation and to "fit in", it resonates very much with me that there is scientific evidence that as a generalist you actually don't fare so badly in the world after all.
And quite to the contrary, that it is good to be interested in a variety of things because it helps you later in life to be more successful...
Let me know what you think.
